SOUTH OZONE PARK, Queens — A hit-and-operate driver killed a 77-yr-previous girl and wounded two many others in the course of a 3-automobile crash on the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens Sunday morning, police claimed.
The suspect was driving a BMW X6 south on the expressway in the vicinity of 116th Avenue in South Ozone Park about 3:20 a.m. when the car or truck struck the rear of a Nissan Altima and then strike a Toyota Camry, according to police.
The BMW driver missing command and the auto flipped around a guardrail on to the service highway, police stated. The driver, a woman, then fled the scene on foot, investigators said.
The 38-yr-outdated person driving the Altima was taken to a clinic with minor injuries and a 77-calendar year-aged woman who was in the rear passenger seat was pronounced useless at the scene, police stated.
The 40-yr-old driver of the Camry was also taken to a hospital with insignificant accidents, in accordance to the NYPD.
The identity of the girl who died was not immediately released by law enforcement.
