LOS ANGELES – A man is dead and his two young children were injured after a car or truck-to-auto shooting led to a numerous-car crash on the 60 Freeway in Hacienda Heights Saturday afternoon.
The California Freeway Patrol responded to a get in touch with on the 60 Freeway in close proximity to East 7th Avenue a minimal right before 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, a witness advised CHP officers that a grey automobile opened hearth at a white Chevrolet Avalanche.
“At some point the right front passenger trapped his hand with a handgun out the window and fired several photographs at the Avalanche and then sped away,” CHP officer Marcos Iniguez explained.

The capturing pressured the Chevrolet driver to lose manage of the pickup truck and crashed into one more motor vehicle. The crash killed the Chevrolet driver, later on determined as 35-yr-aged Luis Mendoza, of La Puente.
All three were being taken to a healthcare facility, where by the father later died. Two teenagers, ages 16 and 13, have been inside the Avalanche during the incident. The crash critically hurt the 13-calendar year-outdated passenger. The 16-year-old, who was sitting in the back again seat, suffered small injuries.
As of Saturday night, it is unfamiliar if road rage performed a component in the lethal incident. No arrests have been declared in the taking pictures.
