BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Properly-acknowledged automotive dealer William “Billy” Fuccillo has died, the Niagara Frontier Vehicle Dealers Affiliation confirms.
“Bill was even bigger than life and adjusted the Western New York industry,” NFADA President Paul Stasiak tells 7 Eyewitness News.
Fuccillo, operator of Fuccillo Automotive, was identified for his catchy commercials and well-liked slogan, “it can be Large!”
Fuccillo Automotive operates Chevrolet, Toyota and Hyundai dealerships on Grand Island.
Fuccillo owned dealerships throughout New York State, including in Rochester and Syracuse, and in Florida.
In addition to his automobile dealerships, Fuccillo was recognized for his philanthropy. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, Fuccillo Automotive sent hundreds of foods at a time to frontline workers at hospitals throughout Western New York.
Grand Island City Supervisor John Whitney claimed Fuccillo’s philanthropy was what set him aside from other persons who do company in the region.
“As a business enterprise person he has usually been a portion of this group,” Whitney said, “and he’s not from here so that speaks definitely extremely of his enthusiasm and philanthropy.”
The three Fuccillo dealerships on Grand Island are one particular of the premier businesses in the location, bringing hundreds of jobs onto the island.
