19-12 months-outdated breaking into autos arrested soon after short vehicle chase, crash, Balcones Heights law enforcement chief says

BALCONES HEIGHTS, Texas – A 19-yr-aged gentleman has been arrested by Balcones Heights law enforcement just after he was located breaking into automobiles in a hotel parking ton and then led officers on a quick motor vehicle chase early Wednesday early morning.

Jonathan Martinez has been taken into law enforcement custody.

In accordance to Balcones Heights Police Chief John Jahanara, officers were being patrolling the parking ton of the Springhill Suites by Marriott resort on Loop 410 in the vicinity of Fredericksburg Road about 2:30 a.m. simply because there experienced been an ongoing issue with cars and trucks becoming damaged into. That is when, Jahanara claimed, officers seen Martinez making an attempt to break into a car or truck.

Jahanara said officers confronted him but he did not comply with their instructions, and instead bought into his automobile and acted like he was heading to strike the officers with the motor vehicle.

Law enforcement reported just one of the officers, a 13-yr veteran, fired his weapon the moment at the vehicle, hitting the driver’s aspect doorway. No a person was damage.

The suspect swerved close to law enforcement and sped off, leading them and San Antonio law enforcement on a shorter chase that ended when he crashed near Loma Linda Drive and Williamsburg Position about a mile absent from the lodge, Jahanara explained.

The main said Martinez did test to operate, but was taken into custody by officers in a yard down the avenue. No officers were wounded in the incident.

Martinez now faces a number of costs, considering that officers also observed guns and narcotics inside of his car, law enforcement explained.
